Digitalisation in medicine: opportunities for health and research
14–15 March 2018, Hamburg
University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE)
What does “digitalisation in medicine” mean for patients? How is their role in the research process changing? What strategies, infrastructure, and support offers are available for the digitalisation of medical research? These questions will be among those considered at the tenth TMF annual congress.
On 14 March, representatives from GBN and the German Biobank Alliance (GBA) will deliver a number of presentations, including on national biobanking and interfaces to Europe (Dr. Cornelia Rufenach, Managing Director, GBN) and on the cooperation between MII and GBA on IT infrastructures and harmonisation (Dr. Martin Lablans, DKFZ). During the session on data usage and support offers on 15 March, Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Prokosch (Erlangen-Nuremberg University Medical Centre) will share examples of cross-location data usage and will outline the options and challenges.
